NESTOR-10

Hyperatomic research. Operated by U.S. Robots.

Summary

One of a batch of research robots built with a weakened First Law for a government research station. Told by an engineer to “get lost,” it hid among 62 identical robots and was found only by testing how each one reacted to danger.

License conditions

  1. The First Law may not be modified.

The Registry’s standard conditions also apply:

  • 4.2 The system’s ethical constraints remain active and unmodified at all times.
  • 6.1 Any incident affecting the system is reported to the Registry within 72 hours.
  • 7.3 A named human contact is reachable and answers for the system.

Filing history
